Had a busy weekend chock-full of Free stuff! Let’s start with Saturday. Myself and 2 of my fellow web developer friends got up bright and early to head to Drupal Camp in Brooklyn. We had to sign up on the site beforehand, but it was Free to attend, which goes with the whole theme of Drupal being Free, community-developed software.

But that wasn’t all! There were also Free bagels, Free coffee, Free pizza, Free soda, and even a Free raffle where I won a Free book! Plus, of course, the Free knowledge gained from others much more experienced in Drupal than me as the best part of all. Learned a whole bunch of new stuff which I’m really excited about applying to new Drupal-backed web sites that I plan on creating and working on in the very near future.

We ended up not staying the whole day due to parking issues (not Free, but only $7 until 5pm), which I think cost me a Free t-shirt. Oh well… Also, attending Drupal Camp was great because I won’t be able to attend DrupalCon this month (which isn’t Free nor is it local), so this was the next best thing. Better even from a financial point of view.

Sunday I did some Free work for my wife’s professional blog community Freelancedom. I set up a basic forum, created her a new logo, and hacked away at her CSS stylesheet (which wouldn’t be that difficult expect the person that designed her theme is AWFUL, AWFUL, AWFUL!). Anyway, it was a pretty busy weekend to say the least.

What interesting things did you guys do this weekend? Let me know in the comments.
